BOOKING CONDITIONS

 

 

ABOUT US

Vulcan Travel is the information desk and booking centre for The Blue Lagoon, B&B Hotel, Glencastle Resort, Palm Tree Hotel and HL Apartments (St.Lucia Hotels) and the Angular Apartments (In Barbados). Besides these Resorts, we can book various types of accommodation that includes GuestHouses, Apartments to All-Inclusive Resorts throughout the Caribbean. All flight bookings are covered by ABTA/ATOL. Our booking centre is a member of ABTA (E9906). Vulcan travel is a retail agent for Atol Holders.

 

 

RESERVATION

We will confirm it as soon as we receive your instructions verbally, electronically, or in writing. Your accommodation is booked separately with booking form enclosed. You must then pay the deposit together with any applicable insurance premium. An invoice will be sent to you for the balance of monies owing. For flight packages, full payment must be received before confirmation.

 

 

DEPOSIT

£75 deposit per person is paid payable to Vulcan Travel to reserve the hotel accommodation. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of your cancellation. Total payment of holiday must be paid not later than 8 weeks prior to departure. The full cost of the holiday must be sent to Vulcan Travel with booking form if booking is less than 8 weeks prior to booking.

Vulcan Package -

Accommodation and Board Basis as detailed on your confirmation invoice

Tailor-made Package -

What’s included:

Return economy class flight from UK departure airport to destination including UK airport tax (Paid separately with Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Cheque)

Accommodation and Board Basis (Cheque Payment)

Local taxes and booking fee (Cheque Payment).

 

Tour Operator Package -

What’s included:

As per holiday brochure. (All major credit cards welcome).

We use Tour operators such as Hayes and Jarvis, Cresta, Kuoni and First Choice.

 

 

TICKET DESPATCH

Travel documents will be posted approximately 10 days prior to departure.

 

 

LATE BOOKINGS

Bookings made within 72 hours of departure are charged an extra fee. Prices vary. "Ticket on Departure" fee will apply if documents have to be delivered to the airport.

 

 

PASSPORTS/VISAS/VACCINATIONS

All clients are themselves responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport, appropriate visas and conform to the health regulations regarding vaccinations current at the time of travel.

 

 

LOCAL AIRPORT DEPARTURE TAXES

Airport taxes are payable by the client on departure from all Caribbean destinations.

 

 

IF VULCAN TRAVEL CANCEL HOLIDAY

We reserve the right, in any circumstance, to cancel your holiday. However, in no case will we cancel your holiday 8 weeks before the scheduled departure date. If due to events beyond our control, we are no longer able to provide the holiday originally booked, we will return your money, or offer you an alternative holiday of a comparable standard.

 

 

AND IF I CANCEL

If you wish to cancel holiday, this must be done in writing from the person in whose name the holiday is invoiced and sent by Recorded Delivery. In the event of cancellation or part cancellation, the following charges become payable.

INSURANCE

Holiday insurance when you travel is extra important. We recommend our own so that you are covered for medical expenses arising abroad, loss of luggage or money and personal liability claims.

 

 

MORE SMALL PRINT

Civil Aviation Authority regulations, specify that both the outbound and inbound sections of the air ticket must be used. In the event that the outbound fight is not used, the passenger will not be allowed to return on the inbound charter flight. Should anyone check-in less than 90 minutes before the ticketed departure time, admission to the flight is likely to be refused. Should anyone be refused admission to the flight or to the destination country by the airline or government authority, then we are powerless to assist and cannot be held responsible. In all such cases we will not be liable for any costs involved.

 

CHEQUES

For cheque payments, we allow 7 working days clearance. Dishonoured cheques will be charged at £20.00 administration charge.

AGENT

Vulcan Travel acts only as agents for Hotels, Airlines, Cruise Lines, Car Rental Firms, Excursions, and all other services supplied as part of your holiday and will not assume any responsibility and shall not be liable for any loss, cancellation, costs, delay, inconveniences, irregularities, accident, injury, damage to persons or property arising from or in connection with any of these services. All Operators including Hotels, Airlines, Cruise Lines, Car Rental Firms and Excursions mentioned are independent contract suppliers, each of which has obligations toward and limitations in respect to liability to the customer directly.

 

 

COMPLAINTS

If the client has a compliant during the holiday, they should contact the hotel manager. They are best placed to put matters right immediately and may well be able to do so. If there is still cause for complaint on return to the UK, the client is required to seek satisfaction by writing to Vulcan Travel within 28 days of the end of the holiday, providing full details of the holidays and the reason for the dissatisfaction. Letter should be made for the attention of the Director.
